Jury Duty!

Dear America,
I Love you,
You are the Land of the Free,
and home of the brave!
I know the judicial system is not perfect,
but it is the greatest in the World.
We the citizens, take our turn sitting on a jury,
to make sure everyone gets a fair trial!
Could jury duty come at a worse time. . .
I am busy!
But it is my duty!
I can do it, I can do it, I can do it!
This it what I woke up to one morning - Jay had hung from the kitchen light, the reminder to call in and get instructions,
for
JURY DUTY!
He knew my mind was boggled with other things.
Thanks Jay for helping me remember!

Seriously!

We were in the grocery store with Derek, Erin and the kids!

My son-in-law pointed out this - Funky Face disguises - next to the 25 cent gumball machines.

I thought who would buy this

Seriously. . .

Me!

One black mustach
One blond mustach
&
One set of eyebrows for
$2.25

Oh Heavens, we were laughing so hard.

Spencer wasn't loving it, because when you pulled them off, it hurt, like when you get your face waxed!

We laughed even harder!

and Jay thought I was wasting my money!

2 people we knew walked in, while we were doing this!

Mr. Harding

We went to stake out our place for the 4th of July parade!
(we never made it to the parade! We thought Paige was going to have her baby - so we drove 10 hours, and arrived at her house at 1:00 am)

The lame parade we LOVE!

We saw our neighbor, Mr. Harding riding this bike!

Love at first sight!

He is selling this one for $125.00!

We stopped and talked to Mr. Harding.

You see he has a sling.

He was helping another neighbor, which you will find him doing often,

and he tore his rotator cuff.

Yes, he had surgery and it is his right arm.

He is frustrated by the lack of use of this arm.

Mr. Harding lost his wife, and it was a loss!

He keeps busy restoring bikes . . .

He loves it!

I understand, because of the furniture thing!

He is a salt of the earth, handy man -

you know the kind!

Mr. Harding has a collection and now he wants to move them out, to make room for more!

If you are interested, email me at greavesma@hotmail.com and I will give you more info,

but not until I go pick the ones I want for my two sweet, beautiful grand kids to ride down our enormous driveway!

You see, most of them are $15.00!!!!!

Highway robbery!
He isn't making any money, He has at least $15.00 or more in supplies

Before & After! Turquoise bed

This twin bed was found on one of my many excursions to the local D.I.!
I Love the tall posts!
It also had a small 3 drawer dresser that matched.
The dresser had a Basset tag inside a drawer,
along with some gum!
I left the tag, removed the gum.
The worst part of revamping furniture for me is the cleaning before you paint.
I thought this lovely bed needed some interesting paint to fit its uniqueness!
Before

Ta DA!
After

I loved this paint so much, and it looks great on the dresser!

The paint was really bright, until I put a coat of Jacobean min- wax stain on it.
I added a couple of glass knobs to dress it up a little and
I am thinking gorgeous!

I have been working on this beautiful table.
I am stripping the top to stain and keep it natural
and then I will paint the bottom.

I found a killer deal on these parsons chairs!
$25.00 a piece off KSL classified ads, and there are 6!
Z gallerie has some slip covers that are fun & beautiful!
check them out here!
