DIY magnetic chalkboard

DIY
I am a little bit embarrassed - I had to google DIY it see what it meant!

$5.00 pictures from D.I.

LOVE the detail of the frame!
Perfect!!!

I painted right over the glass with Magnetic paint - it took a couple of coats!
Then the chalk board paint over that - it also took a couple of coats!
To finish it off, you take a piece of chalk and rub it over the entire thing, rub it off with a paper towel, and it is ready to go!!!!
I bought everything at Home Depot and I have enough supplies to make 25 more - so I will!!!

SMART COOKIE

In his late 20s, Benjamin Franklin listed THIRTEEN VIRTUES that he felt were important guides for living.

Pretty smart cookie for 20 something!

I have been thinking a lot about this. I sometimes get side tracked in the world - of things! I am a little obsessive when I Love something (like painting furniture). So to keep a balance I am trying to spend as much time on good things ( not that painting furniture isn't good) or should I say the important things.

I have made my own list of 13 virtues (added to or stole Ben's ideas, they are good)

Here are his:

PERSONAL

TEMPERANCE: Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation.
ORDER: Let all your things have their places; let each part of your business have its time.
RESOLUTION: Resolve to perform what you ought; perform without fail what you resolve.
FRUGALITY: Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself; i.e., waste nothing.
MODERATION: Avoid extremes; forbear resenting injuries so much as you think they deserve.
INDUSTRY: Lose no time; be always employed in something useful; cut off all unnecessary actions.
CLEANLINESS: Tolerate no uncleanliness in body, clothes, or habitation.
TRANQUILITY: Be not disturbed at trifles, or at accidents common or unavoidable.

SOCIAL

SILENCE: Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself; avoid trifling conversation.
SINCERITY: Use no hurtful deceit; think innocently and justly, and, if you speak, speak accordingly.
JUSTICE: Wrong none by doing injuries, or omitting the benefits that are your duty.
CHASTITY: Rarely use venery but for health or offspring, never to dullness, weakness, or the injury of your own or another's peace or reputation.
HUMILITY: Imitate Jesus and Socrates.

Some kind of guy!

At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, not winning one more verdict, or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a friend, a child or a parent - Barbara Bush

Jay and I played cards with these two tonight - Hand & Foot - and it was fun! Jake is still rocking from his cruise and he kept saying,"some kind of guy," over and over! What is this all about you ask - I don't know either! I think it is like when you get a song stuck in your head and you keep singing it. I hope a good nights sleep clears his mind and mine too! I am sitting here saying over and over, "some kind of guy."

Where did he come from?

He hasn't drank pop for 10 years! (not one) He has now given up treats! (one week) He goes to the gym everyday! He didn't watch the final Bachelor, even though he loves it! (He is trying to do better things with his time) He now says, He is going to the Temple once a week!

I drink a diet pepsi everyday! I Love treats! I have two gym memberships, Lady Fitness and Golds! (don't use either one of them) Nothing was going to interfere with the final Bachelor! (no phones calls etc.) I thought I was doing good going to the Temple once a month!

Sheezzzz!!!! How do I feel? Thanks Jake!

P.S. Are you my son?
