GOOD DAY!

I got to spend the day with my sister Chris at Bear Lake! I knew that would be a treat - I wasn't expecting the beautiful drive with all the leaves turning.

Seriously brought tears to my eyes - it was so pretty!

Pumpkins & Sock monkey!

While Paige was here this week, we made pumpkins, and a sock monkey! We also have bought supplies (cute fabric) for other projects! We did not get to all of them because we had to have time for church, eating out, shopping, playing cards, playing with Spencer & Cooper, dodge ball, a movie, etc. It is crazy, what you can fit into a week!

Tired but HAPPY!

We had a water leak in our pantry and had some sheet rock repair. We took everything out, and the shelves looked really bad, so I painted them, not an easy or fun job - dreadful - painters earn their money! Then I had to put everything away!

I keep walking in to look how clean it is!

I have a lot of cute white dishes, mostly given as gifts by my daughters (thank you). I had them in boxes and did not use them often, because it was such a pain to get them out and put them away. I also had this green thing that I was going to get rid of. I am glad I didn't. I really want to paint it turquoise, but for right now, it will do!

Going to bed - Tired but HAPPY!

Jake is 22!

I can not believe Jake is 22!

He is one of a kind! He was born to soften his Dads heart and take care of his Mom!

He seriously is the funniest boy alive, and no matter how hard I try to not laugh at him and encourage his craziness, I can not help it!

He loves his sisters and his friends! He is pleasant, happy and has been easy to raise!

He is disciplined, and that is not because of our parenting. He was the 4th child born, and he grew up on the go, he never had a routine, a regular nap or eating time. On his own, he disciplined himself in all things! School, church, sports, exercise etc.

He thinks Heaven is boating, listening to Jack Johnson. He wears a helmet (thank you very much) after too many times hitting his head, playing soccer, snow boarding and wake boarding.

He is a boy without Guile - I looked this up and it means without deception or craftiness - which is true when it comes to his character. He finds no fault with anyone - He sincerely likes everyone! A good example to us all. He however is the biggest tease on the earth, and he tricks me all the time and I still fall for it every time! Darn you!

He loves to shop and watch the Bachelorette - he will make for a good husband!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACOB JAY GREAVES!!!!

I love to hear him speak French and he will always be my baby! ( sorry Jake)

Moscow visit!

Paige & Phil have been in Moscow for 1 month, and one of the first things Paige said, "Do I look different?"

It was a great trip! We stayed in McCall Idaho on the way up, and Jay did a little fishing. I was worried I hadn't taken a chair to sit on and read my book, but Jay reminded me we had Paiges bench and end table we were taking to her. Thanks Paige it came in handy!

We ate at a really good Mexican restaurant, went to JoAnnes to get sewing supplies. (are you sewing Paige?) Bought a dresser from the thrift store for $5.00. Met all the awesome students in her ward - they are in good hands there. Went to the Farmers Market and went on a fun hike. Watched the BYU game, toured the University of Idaho campus (beautiful). Drove to Couer de lane, got Phil car sick. The best part was just hanging out with them in their cute apartment!

What an adventure and what a beautiful place to be!

P.S. coming home we let the GPS take us to Washington, Oregon, Idaho & then home to Utah!
Jay is a Looper!

Changes!

Imagine yourself a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. at first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting all the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on: you knew that those jobs needed doing and so your not surprised. But presently he starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make sense. What on earth is He up to? the explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of - throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making court yards. You thought you were going to be made into a decent little cottage, but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in Himself.

I am serving in a Singles ward at the University Stake. I am a Relief Society advisor to the girls.

I have fallen in LOVE with them! When ever I tell someone that I am serving at the singles ward, they say "They must really need you." NO I really need them. I am in awe of their ability, their testimony, their, kindness, generosity, I could go on and on.

This is a two year calling and it took me a minute to figure out what I was doing. You see, it is the Bishopric, the High councilman and me. And we are busy, with lots of activities. It is also all day Sunday! Jay goes to church alone, and he then attends the activities with me. It is a part of the church, I did not know to much about, but have learned to love. Did I already say I LOVE the girls?

Well, I am changing wards. . . . Stunned by the turn of events! I thought I had another year with these girls. A new Relief Society Advisor has been called that is a wonderful single sister, and because the girls in my ward are older and single - they thought she would better serve with them. I am moving to a younger ward - 18, 19, 20 something!

I have no doubt I will love them too, I am just selfish and want to stay where I want to stay!

Isn't it true when you just get comfortable and content in our perfect little cottage, we have to hurt a little to become a palace!

This picture is in Vevay Switzerland - It is in front of a castle, not a palace but is beautiful! I kinda got a pained look on my face!
