"From there to here, and here to there, Funny things are everywhere." Dr. Seuss

Moving! Yes I hate it, but I love Erin, Derek, Cooper and Spencer, so I have tried to help them! Everything is a mess, everybody is tired, but there are Funny things everywhere!

All the food is packed, so Paige bought corndogs from the gas station for everyone!
The kitchen table is full of bubble wrap, sissors, & tape, so Cooper, Spencer & Paige enjoy their lunch sitting on the floor! The kids were loving it!

As fast as Erin could pack a box of toys, Spencer would unpack it! Look how happy he was!

Spencer fell asleep, he was just tuckered out from all the fun! We just kept working and Jake stacked the boxes around him! Thanks Jake for a good laugh!

Thank you Dr. Suess for reminding us there are Funny things everywhere!

Splish Splash

Jay and I have been married 31 years. Right after we were married, his parents put in a swimming pool. We are so grateful to them for having it, taking care of it, and letting us enjoy it! My kids grew up loving being there and now a whole new generation is enjoying it - My grand kids - Cooper and Spencer! Cute little stinkers!

Today Paige took Cooper and Spencer swimming! (Good Aunt) Jake was there with his friend Mitch.

Jake tried to teach Cooper to dive today! (Good Uncle) He really is getting brave and turning into a little fish. It is hilarious to watch him put on goggles with out straps - somehow they suction to his face - and do cannon balls off the diving board. (notice the dolphin enjoying Cooper doing the cannon ball- Ha Ha!!!!)

The FUNNIEST thing I have ever seen is SPENCER jumping in the pool! He gets his aqua blue water wings on and heads right to the side of the pool and jumps in. He goes all the way under and pops up like a drowned rat, with a big grin on his face and a giggle and saying again! And again and again he goes, seriously he would go 100 times if we didn't stop him.

Go Green - or red or turquoise or black!

I love color! I love paint! I love old furniture!

There is nothing like a piece of old furniture. Solid wood with unique character.

For a while, I painted everything that wasn't nailed down. I knew I was not living a balanced life, when I was sitting in Sacrament and I wondered what the beautiful wood podium would look like painted.

Every piece of furniture turns out different and that is the FUN of it. Here are a couple pieces waiting to be painted!! One from Deseret Industries and one Paige bought off KSL. I can't decide what color, but I have bought turquoise and pink and cream. A couple of years ago, I was shopping with Paige at Forever 21 in SLC, and I fell in love with turquoise. The dressing rooms had black trim, turquoise doors and chandeliers.

Here are some pillows from Pier 1, that Paige is going to decorate with in her new apartment!! I love the turquoise!!!!

I am itching to get painting, but will have to wait, because Erin and Paige are moving. As much as I love to paint - I love spending time with them more.

I haven't been good at taking pictures of things I have sold, but here are a few I have kept.

Yummy!

I was shopping at Wangsgards, picking up last minute things for Bear Lake. I passed these strawberries, and they were calling my name. Not only did they look delish - they were .79 cents a pack. I was already worn out from getting everything ready to leave town for a week, so I passed them by, and said NO strawberries I don't want you. I was in the checkout line and I could see them from where I was. I left the line and picked up a case! I went home and stayed up late and made frozen Strawberry jam. It was so EASY - I was just a little crazy, cranky doing it.

I am so HAPPY I did it, it was worth the pain.

Cheap Therapy!

I am lucky to have an amazing group of friends! We became friends in a weird kinda way. Our sons were friends, and when they left on their missions, we were each others support. Now all but one of the boys are home, but we are still each others support. We met at the Oaks for lunch and had our dose of Laughter!!!

P.S. There are really cute girls who work at the Oaks, and yes, they knew our sons! Maybe our sons should go to lunch at the Oaks!

American Idol

I don't watch to much T.V. anymore, but I am a FAN of American Idol. I look forward each week to see the contestants perform. Morgan went to the American Idol concert tour last year, and said it was the best ever. So I had her buy Jay and I tickets when they went on sale. To bad Jay wasn't feeling well the day of the concert. Lucky that Paige got to go with us!! I Love Adams voice, he is amazing, so talented. He did not disappoint when he sang Mad Love!!!! No longer a fan after seeing him perform another song. I felt like I was in a strip club! Sometimes Jake dances around like Adam did, being crazy and just kidding. Adam was not kidding! I wonder what Simon would have said about his performance.

I LOVE KRIS!!!!!! Hope to see him succeed!!!!

The best part of the whole night, good company!!!!

Everything in the Pool!

Spencer loves to throw everything in the Pool. It is hillarious to watch him wind up and throw. Cooper loves to retrieve whatever Spencer throws in. It is just as funny to watch the creative ways in which Cooper retrieves whatever Spencer throws in.

Granny makes these adorable crocheted animals. Spencer picked up an owl and hugged it. I thought it was so cute, so I grabbed my camera to take a picture. Yup, before I knew it, it was in the Pool. Sorry Granny!!!
